Clase Azul Master Artisans x Ángel Ortiz Paraíso Nocturno is the most mature and contemplative expression in the three-decanter Master Artisans collection inspired by the ceramic traditions of Tonalá, Jalisco. Created by Master Distiller Viridiana Tinoco, this Extra Añejo is matured for more than 41 months, developing exceptional depth and a rich, silky texture. Its profile combines ripe stone fruit and dried fruit with dark chocolate, candied walnut, warm spices and polished oak. The handcrafted midnight-toned decanter depicts a nocturnal landscape featuring a deer and hummingbird among intricate foliage, finished with a hammered copper cap and blue floral detail.

Nose: Ripe apricot and peach with raisin, candied walnut, dark chocolate, clove, cinnamon and refined mature oak.

Palate: Rich, silky and full-bodied, with dried stone fruit, dark chocolate and toasted nuts layered with warm baking spices, subtle sweetness and deeply integrated oak.

Finish: Long, smooth and warming, with lingering dark chocolate, candied walnut, gentle clove and cinnamon, polished oak and a softly spiced finish.

Distillery Information

Clase Azul México was founded in 1997 in Guadalajara and has built an international reputation for combining premium Mexican spirits with highly distinctive handcrafted decanters. The Master Artisans collection was created to celebrate and preserve Mexico's exceptional artistic traditions through collaborations with some of the country's most respected craftspeople. The Ángel Ortiz collection represents the fourth chapter of this series and consists of three individually designed one-liter decanters: Jardín Tonalteca, Coro Silvestre and Paraíso Nocturno. Ortiz is a master of Tonalá's celebrated barro bruñido ceramic tradition, a labor-intensive technique that creates its distinctive polished surface through burnishing. Each tequila in the collection was developed by Clase Azul Master Distiller Viridiana Tinoco, pairing increasingly mature expressions with Ortiz's artistic interpretation of Mexico's natural and cultural heritage. Only 100 complete three-decanter sets were released worldwide.
