A 15-year-old Clynelish distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2026 for Decadent Drams. Matured in a refill bourbon cask, the restrained oak influence allows Clynelish’s famously waxy and coastal spirit to remain at the forefront. Bright citrus, orchard fruit and honey combine with beeswax, fresh almond and subtle saline minerality. Bottled at 51.5% ABV, it is a precise and characterful expression of classic Clynelish distillate.

Nose: Luminous lemons meet a waxy sheen, carried on a coastal breeze. Seashore notes mingle with small green fruits, crisp, bright and inviting from the moment the glass is swirled.

Palate: Lemons, waxes, gorse flower and bigger green fruits.

Finish: A long, waxy finish with a peppery kick, amplified citrus and sea air, and a gentle coconut echo lingering on the palate.

Distillery Information

Established in 1819 by the Marquis of Stafford in 1819, Clynelish was one of the first purpose-built distilleries. In 1823, the distillery became legal under the Excise Act. Unfortunately due to the recession in 1931 the distillery closed and did not open again until the end of World War II.
