Nose: Spicy peach jam on a warm croissant, with buttery pastry, orchard fruit and subtle tropical freshness. Coastal wax, citrus oils and soft honeyed vanilla add further complexity.

Palate: Oily and full-bodied, with Clynelish's signature waxy texture and creamy honeydew melon. Orange zest and lemon rind combine with maritime minerality, honeyed sweetness, vanilla, almond and gentle warming spice.

Finish: Long and vibrant, with waxy nutmeg cream, caramelised lemon slices and toffee apple. Lemon and lime freshness linger alongside gentle peppery spice and soft, warming oak.

Distillery Information

Clynelish Distillery traces its origins to 1819, when the original distillery was established near Brora on Scotland's northeast Highland coast. A new Clynelish distillery was built beside the original site in 1967, while the older distillery eventually became known as Brora. Clynelish has developed a particularly devoted following for its distinctive waxy, oily and mineral-driven spirit, a character that remains highly recognizable even after long maturation. North Star Spirits was founded in Glasgow in 2016 and has become a respected independent bottler specialising in distinctive single malts, single grains and carefully constructed blends. Its bottlings typically focus on natural presentation, allowing the individual character of the whisky and cask to remain at the forefront.
