Rum from Nepal! Produced at the only Himalayan distillery, Coronation Khukri XXX Rum was first launched in 1974 to mark the coronation of His Royal Highness Shri Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev, and comes in a bottle shaped like Nepal's national weapon, the khukri.

Nose: Toffee, caramel, vanilla, prune, dried fruit, gentle spice, oak, and soft molasses sweetness.

Palate: Honey, caramel, vanilla, dried fruit, Himalayan herbs, gentle spice, oak, and rich molasses character.

Finish: Smooth and long, with lingering caramel, vanilla, honey, dried fruit, and gentle oak.

Distillery Information

The Nepal Distilleries Pvt. Ltd. was established in 1959 in Kathmandu and is the producer of the Khukri Rum range, making it Nepal's oldest operating distillery. Khukri Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and matured in wooden vessels, with the brand drawing heavily on Nepalese heritage and Himalayan identity. The Coronation expression was introduced in 1974 in honour of King Birendra's coronation and quickly became one of the company's most recognisable products. Its individually crafted khukri-shaped bottle has become an enduring symbol of the brand and Nepalese craftsmanship.
