Distillery Information

Crown Royal was created in 1939 to commemorate the visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth to Canada, with the original whisky presented in a distinctive cut-glass decanter and purple velvet bag. The brand's whiskies are produced from corn, rye and barley, distilled in different styles, aged in oak and carefully blended to create its signature smooth character. Crown Royal Deluxe remains the foundation of the range and is produced at the Crown Royal distillery in Gimli, Manitoba. The brand has since expanded into rye, aged expressions, flavored whiskies and limited editions while retaining Deluxe as its classic flagship blend.
