Cruz de Fuego Espadin Mezcal

Cruz de Fuego (or "cross of fire") is named for the Catholic crucifix and meant to represent the spirit of Oaxaca where the mezcal is made. It is made in the traditional method including horse-drawn grinding stones and wood-fire ovens to bake the agave. This is the joven or white expression bottled unaged and doubtless with an intense smoky character.

Nose: Light aroma of sweet potatoes, citrus and flint.

Palate: Notes of anise, bananas and plantains with a caramel.

Finish: Woody finish.
