Detailed Description
After several years of relative success, the distillery stopped distilling in 1982 and only resumed production after it was acquired by Burn Stewart Distillers in 1990. The plant, equipped with two pairs of alembics, can produce 3 million liters of distillate per year. Deanston is a key component of Blenda Scottish Leader, with global sales exceeding 6 million bottles per year. The Deanston 15 years old presented here is the result of an experimental certification-whiskey aged in reusable hogshead barrels ended up in tequila barrels. In 2023, whiskey was bottled with a barrel strength (52.5% strength) and without cold filtration.
