Longshot is a limited-edition 10-year-old blended Scotch created by Del Amitri in collaboration with Glasgow-based Caskade Drinks. Matured exclusively in bourbon casks, it was released to celebrate Scotland’s return to the football world stage and takes its inspiration from Del Amitri’s “Don’t Come Home Too Soon.” Bright green apple and citrus peel meet caramelised brown sugar on the nose, while honey, pepper, butterscotch and soft leather create a rich, rounded palate. Bottled at 46.4% ABV, it combines approachable sweetness with warming spice and mature oak.

Nose: Crisp green apple, bright citrus peel and caramelised brown sugar, with a gentle vanilla sweetness and soft oak.

Palate: Honeyed and rounded, with butterscotch, black pepper, caramelised sugar and soft leather. Subtle spice adds warmth beneath the creamy sweetness.

Finish: Smooth and warming, with lingering honey, gentle spice, soft oak and a restrained caramel sweetness.

Distillery Information

Del Amitri are a Scottish alternative rock band formed in Glasgow in 1983, known for their melodic songwriting and distinctive blend of rock, folk and pop influences. The band achieved major international recognition during the 1990s, including their football anthem “Don’t Come Home Too Soon,” written for Scotland’s 1998 World Cup campaign. In 2026, Del Amitri partnered with Glasgow-based Caskade Drinks to create Longshot, connecting the band's Scottish heritage with whisky culture. The collaboration reflects the band's continuing relationship with Scotland while giving the classic football song a new whisky-inspired interpretation.
