The fifth release from Dingle's series the Wheel of the Years, this release honours the ancient Celtic celebration of Grianstad an Gheimhridh, the winter solstice. The word Grianstad translates to ‘the stopping of the sun’, and this Irish single malt whiskey was made to be a testament to a time of year that is all about the dark of night drawing in, having been matured in bourbon and finished in Tawny Port casks.

Nose: Blackcurrant compote, cinnamon, dark chocolate, and coffee fudge.
Palate: Red berries, clove, gingerbread, caramel, and black pepper.
Finish: Spicy and sweet.
Distillery Information
Dingle Distillery was founded in 2012 by the three beer brewers Oliver Hughes, Liam LaHart and Peter Mosley. After gaining a foothold in Ireland's craft beer scene in the 1990s, the three decided to expand their range to spirits, including Whiskey and Gin.
