Washed Ashore Edition 3 is a 15-year-old blend of pot and column still molasses rums from Barbados. It spent its first five years maturing in bourbon barrels in the Caribbean before travelling to Scotland for a further decade of maturation in red wine and English whisky casks. The colder Scottish climate slowed things down considerably, building layers of fruit, vanilla, spice, and mature oak.

Nose: Molasses, wooded vanilla, dark fruit, caramel, and warming oak spice.

Palate: Rich and full-bodied, with treacle, dried fruit, vanilla, red berries, and seasoned oak.

Finish: Baking spice, dark fruit, and lingering wood.

Dorchadas is a rum-focused independent bottling project from East Neuk Spirit Co., based in Scotland and centred on unusual, cask-driven expressions. The Washed Ashore series explores how tropical rum develops when transported from its original Caribbean maturation environment to Scotland for extended secondary maturation. This approach creates a distinctive contrast between warm-climate tropical ageing and slower, cooler Scottish maturation. The series highlights experimentation with different finishing casks while keeping the underlying rum's origin and character at the forefront.
