Drakon Premium Dragon Fruit Spirit | 700ML

Drakon is an Ecuadorian spirit made entirely from dragon fruit pulp at La Felipa Fruit & Wine Distillery. Created to showcase the character of the fruit rather than bury it under sugar or heavy flavouring, it has a smooth, delicate profile suited to drinking neat or mixing in fruit-led cocktails. It is also believed to be the first spirit of its kind.

Nose: Fresh dragon fruit, melon, pear, kiwi, tropical fruit, delicate florals, citrus, and gentle natural sweetness.

Palate: Silky and fruity, with ripe dragon fruit, pear, kiwi, melon, bright citrus, subtle sweetness, and a clean vegetal freshness.

Finish: Smooth and refreshing, with lingering tropical fruit, pear, citrus, delicate floral notes, and a gentle fruit sweetness.

Distillery Information

La Felipa Fruit & Wine Distillery is based in Ecuador's Manabí region and grew from the Vélez family's agricultural operation, which cultivated and exported premium pitahaya. Drakon was conceived in 2021 after an oversupply of dragon fruit created by export disruptions encouraged founder Juan Sebastián Vélez to explore a way of transforming the fruit into a premium spirit. The distillery developed its own fermentation and distillation techniques to preserve pitahaya's delicate character, ultimately creating what it describes as the world's first spirit distilled exclusively from red dragon fruit. Drakon has subsequently received international recognition and has expanded into different distillation styles while maintaining its focus on Ecuadorian-grown pitahaya.
