Edinburgh High Mountain Tea Gin | 700ML

Inspired by global travels in search of botanicals, Edinburgh Gin High Mountain Tea is a classic dry gin distilled with a unique blend of tea leaves grown in the highest mountains of Taiwan. The prized tea imparts aromatic florals and creamy texture, backed by botanicals including rosehip and white mulberry for fruity sweetness, and Assam pepper for smoky earthiness reminiscent of black tea. Black cumin delivers soft spice, while bergamot peel brings a citrus note, and gives a nod to Earl Grey tea. Ought to make a spectacular Martini.

Distillery Information

The Spencerfield Spirit Company (the folks behind Sheep Dip and Pig’s Nose whiskies) introduced Edinburgh Gin in 2010. For the first few years they sourced gin made with Scottish grain and macerated their selection of Scottish botanicals in it. In 2014 they opened their own craft distillery in Edinburgh, allowing them to produce Edinburgh Gin under one roof (which also houses a bar - a good a place for one as any!). Following that, in 2016 they expanded their operations once again by kicking off a plan to build a second distillery in a disused biscuit factory in Leith!
