Gaviota tequilas are apparently named for the name of a heroine in the movie Destilando Amor blessed with voluptuous curves and now immortalized on the bottle design that matches her figure. It is "distilled with love!" Gaviota Anejo tequila comes in a red dress while the tequila inside is aged for 27 months prior to bottling (a very long time for an anejo tequila that is normally aged for only 12 months).
Gaviota Anejo Tequila Tasting Notes
Nose: Flowery, citrus fruit, caramel, chocolate and a little smoke.
Palate: Smooth, soft with a bit of spice, orange peel, earth accents and oak.
Finish: Quite long, with notes of black pepper and citrus.
