Challenge, inspiration and passion were the great motivators of Dário Pimpão in producing a natural Ginja without colourings or additives, made from high quality ingredients. The great secret of Oppidum lies in the fact that it uses only the best fruit to obtain a pure liqueur, aromatic and with a balanced alcoholic gradation, that when savoured offers a smooth and full-bodied flavour.

Distillery Information

A Galician friar of the Church of Santo António, Francisco Espinheira, had the experience of leaving ginja berries in aguardente, adding sugar, water and cinnamon. The success was immediate and Ginjinha became the typical drink of Lisbon. In the 2000s, the business was in the hands of the fifth generation.
