Nose: Black cherry, dark wine-soaked fruit, tobacco leaf and ripe forest berries, with rich red-wine character and subtle dark chocolate.

Palate: Red berries, creamy vanilla, Eton Mess and walnuts, supported by rich malt sweetness, French oak and dark fruit.

Finish: Long and warming, with caramelised orange slices, dark berries, zesty citrus, gentle tannins and lingering oak spice.

Distillery Information

Glasgow Distillery was established in 2014, reviving whisky production in Scotland's largest city after more than a century without a dedicated single malt distillery. The distillery produces both peated and unpeated whisky and has developed a reputation for bright, fruity spirit with excellent texture. Its whisky is particularly suited to experimentation with different cask types and maturation styles. North Star Spirits, founded in Glasgow by Iain Croucher in 2016, is an independent bottler known for selecting distinctive single casks and presenting them with minimal intervention. This release combines Glasgow's youthful, characterful spirit with an unusually ambitious Bordeaux-influenced French oak maturation.
