This 15-year-old Glen Elgin was distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2026 by Decadent Drinks for its Decadent Drams range. Matured primarily in a refill bourbon barrel before being finished in a first-fill bourbon barrel, it balances the distillery's naturally fruity, malty character with additional sweetness and richness from the more active cask. The whisky combines creamy vanilla, fresh orchard fruits, citrus, and honeyed malt, with gentle oak adding structure without overwhelming the spirit. Bottled at 53% ABV, this limited single-cask release offers a fresh, expressive take on mature Speyside whisky.

Palate: Creamy vanilla and sweet malt lead into apple, pear, lemon zest, and custard. Flower honey, gentle pepper, and toasted oak bring balance, with subtle hints of fennel and aniseed.

Glen Elgin Distillery was founded in 1898 near Elgin in Moray, at the heart of Scotland's Speyside whisky region. Production began in 1900, although the distillery faced early commercial difficulties during a challenging period for the Scotch whisky industry. It later resumed production and became part of Scottish Malt Distillers in 1930. Glen Elgin is known for producing a fruity, honeyed malt with a rounded texture, making its spirit valuable both as a single malt and as a component in blended Scotch whisky. The distillery is now part of Diageo's portfolio and continues to contribute to Speyside's long-standing whisky-making tradition.
