Detailed Description

11 virgin American oak casks were each taken to different cities around America to be inscribed with the dreams of the American people. These casks were then shipped back to Scotland, to Glenfiddich distillery. The Glenfiddich Cask of Dreams is a vatting of 14 to 16 year old whisky, finished in those 11 virgin American oak casks (of dreams).

Nose: Aroma of stone fruits (particularly plums and peaches) that is balanced by hints of coffee and woody spice.

Palate: Bold notes of creamy vanilla, honeyed oak and a malty sweetness.

Finish: Long, caramel finish.

Distillery Information

In the summer of 1886, with his seven sons and two daughters by his side, William set out to fulfil a lifelong ambition. Together they began building his Distillery by hand, stone by stone. After a single year of work it was ready and William named it Glenfiddich, Gaelic for Valley of the Deer.
