Nose: Chocolate sauce, salted caramel, Spanish orange, dark Manuka honey, rich date oil and dried fruit.

Palate: Salted treacle, caramelised dates, juicy orange, papaya, dark chocolate and rich coffee.

Finish: Long and warming, with cinnamon, nutmeg, gentle nuttiness, dark chocolate and lingering coastal character.

Distillery Information

Glenglassaugh was founded in 1875 near Sandend on the Aberdeenshire coast by James Moir and his nephews. Its history has been unusually stop-start, with long silent periods during the 20th century before production resumed in 2008 after a major revival. The distillery later joined the BenRiach company in 2013, before becoming part of Brown-Forman in 2016 alongside Benriach and GlenDronach.
