Detailed Description
Detailed Description
A rare 19-year-old Glenlivet distilled on 17 October 2006 and bottled by Signatory Vintage on 4 June 2026 as part of the Cask Strength Collection. Matured in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt, cask #901023, the single cask produced just 192 bottles. Bottled at natural cask strength without chill filtration or added colouring, it combines Glenlivet’s elegant Speyside character with deep Oloroso-driven richness.
Glenlivet 19 Year Old · 2006 Vintage Signatory Vintage Cask Strength Collection Single Cask #901023 Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Dark cherry, plum and raisins with rich sherry, vanilla, honeyed malt, orange peel and a subtle savoury oak character.
Palate: Full and powerful, with dates, figs and dark berries alongside dark chocolate, roasted nuts, caramel and warming cinnamon. The Oloroso cask brings considerable depth while the underlying Glenlivet spirit remains fruity and malty.
Finish: Long and warming, with lingering dried fruit, cocoa, toasted nuts and oak spice, followed by a gentle citrus and sherry sweetness.
Distillery Information
The Glenlivet was founded by George Smith in 1824 in the Livet Valley of Speyside and became one of the region’s defining single malt distilleries. Its spirit is renowned for a smooth, elegant and fruit-forward character, traditionally showing orchard fruit, citrus, honey and soft floral notes. Today the distillery is part of Pernod Ricard and operates on a large scale while retaining its distinctive Speyside house style. Signatory Vintage is one of Scotland’s leading independent bottlers, known for selecting individual casks and presenting them with minimal intervention, allowing the character of the distillery and maturation to remain prominent.
