Henstone Single Malt Whisky - Ex-Oloroso Casks | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Blackcurrant Starburst, cinnamon, and earthy barley, along with some dark chocolate.
Palate: Dried apricots, earthy vanilla, ginger snaps, and stewed plums.
Finish: Waxy peels, clove, and chocolate ice-cream.
Distillery Information
Henstone Distillery was established in Oswestry, Shropshire, United Kingdom in 2017 by Chris and Alexandra Toller, and Shane and Alison Parr. Shane and Alison also run an established brewery (Stonehouse Brewery) and the distillery is based at the brewery site. We spent several years planning our venture. After receiving a grant from the RDPE we installed an impressive 1000 litre still, affectionately named Hilda. Hilda was manufactured by Kothe in Germany and supplied to us by their UK agents Ryebeck Limited.
