Hornitos Reserve Anejo Tequila

Hornitos Reserve Añejo is a premium aged tequila showcasing the richer, more developed character that comes from extended oak maturation. Made from Blue Weber agave, the tequila combines cooked-agave sweetness with layers of caramel, vanilla, dried fruit and toasted oak. The aging creates a smooth, rounded texture while preserving the underlying earthy and vegetal character of the agave. Balanced and approachable, it is well suited to sipping neat or over a large ice cube.

Hornitos Reserve Anejo Tequila Tasting Notes

Nose: Cooked agave, vanilla and caramel with dried fruit, honey, toasted oak and gentle cinnamon.

Palate: Rich and smooth, with roasted agave, caramel, vanilla and dried apricot alongside toasted oak, baking spice and subtle chocolate.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering vanilla, caramel, dried fruit and polished oak followed by gentle spice.

Distillery Information

Hornitos was founded in 1950 by Don Francisco Morales in Jalisco, Mexico, and takes its name from the traditional “little ovens” used to cook agave. The brand is produced at Casa Sauza and has become one of Mexico's best-known tequila producers. Hornitos has traditionally focused on approachable tequila expressions while maintaining a connection to established Mexican production methods. Its portfolio includes Blanco, Reposado, Añejo and specialty expressions such as Cristalino, which explore different approaches to maturation and presentation. The brand continues to combine traditional agave production with modern techniques designed to create smooth and versatile tequilas.
