House of Macduff Selkie Batch #3 | 500ML

From House of MacDuff comes the third batch of Selkie blended malt Scotch whisky, designed to be a blend that both beginners and connoisseurs alike will appreciate. This contains a combo of peated Highland Malts, predominantly from ex-bourbon casks, bottled at 50% ABV without any chill-filtration.

Nose: Grassy peat smoke drifts through creamy vanilla, poached pears, and a little marzipan.

Palate: Delicate lemon and salted caramel with singed heather shrouded by bonfire embers.

Finish: Oak char and a touch of ginger.

Distillery Information

The Cumbrae Supply Company is a small family business based in Renfrew, Scotland. We are known for bottling and selling ‘The Smallest Bottle of Whisky in the World’ as listed in the Guinness Book of Records. With the trading name of The House of MacDuff, we specialise in bottling a range of single cask Scotch Whiskies under The Golden Cask brand; blended malts by batch under The Selkie brand, along with Burns Nectar single malt and Blend No 888 blended Scotch Whisky. Fifty/50/Gin is our first venture into gin with half of the spirit being aged for 20 years. Grain whiskies and Rum will form part of our portfolio as they are developed. Known for his expert knowledge and experience, we use the services of John McDougall as a consultant. The Cumbrae Supply Company dates back to the 1950s when the ‘world’s smallest bottle’ was a private enterprise run out of a garage in Millport. Thereafter it was owned by the Paisley Whisky Co Ltd until 1987 when we the MacDuff family purchased it. At this time we owned a small pottery and along with the smallest bottle our main products were whisky filled novelty items. In the 1990’s we started to focus on bottling whisky miniatures and single casks for third parties. With a move of premises and a small bonded facility we began to acquire stock and bottle our own brands. In 2013 a further move brought us to Renfrew and concentration is now on developing The House of MacDuff brands.
