A limited 2026 edition of Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 created in celebration of the distillery’s 160th anniversary and McLaren’s 1,000th Formula 1 Grand Prix. The familiar Tennessee Whiskey is charcoal mellowed through 10 feet of sugar-maple charcoal before maturation in new American white oak barrels. This edition is bottled at an elevated 86 proof, giving the classic Old No. 7 profile a little more weight and intensity.

Nose: Sweet caramel and vanilla open with soft ripe banana, toasted oak and a gentle hint of brown sugar. Charcoal mellowing contributes a subtle smoky smoothness beneath the familiar sweet whiskey character.

Palate: Medium-bodied and rounded, with caramel, vanilla and brown sugar followed by baked fruit and toasted oak. The higher 86-proof bottling gives the palate slightly greater richness and warmth while retaining Old No. 7’s smooth character.

Finish: Creamy and lingering, with vanilla, caramel and toasted oak carrying into a gentle warming spice. The finish remains clean, sweet and softly oaked.

Distillery Information

Jack Daniel’s was established by Jasper Newton “Jack” Daniel in Lynchburg, Tennessee, in 1866 and has become one of the world’s most recognizable Tennessee whiskey producers. The distillery is renowned for its Lincoln County Process, in which new make whiskey is slowly filtered through sugar-maple charcoal before entering new American oak barrels. Jack Daniel’s partnership with McLaren began in 2023, combining the distillery’s heritage with McLaren’s Formula 1 racing identity. The 2026 edition represents the fourth commemorative release from the partnership.
