"The Jägermeister story starts with Wilhelm Mast's vinegar business in Wolfenbüttel, Germany, but it was his son, Curt Mast, who created the famous liqueur in 1934, perfecting a secret recipe of 56 herbs, roots, fruits, and spices. A passionate hunter, Curt named it "Jägermeister" (Master Hunter) and adopted the iconic stag logo from the legend of St. Hubertus."
