Reserva de la Familia Private Cask Collection Edition No. 2 is a limited 2026 Añejo finished in new American oak casks seasoned with Oaxacan red mole. The tequila begins with 100% blue agave, slow-roasted in traditional masonry ovens, fermented with proprietary yeast, and double-distilled before maturation. A three-month mole-cask finish adds distinctive layers of cacao, dried fruit, pepper, and warm spice while retaining the natural cooked-agave character.

Nose: Cooked agave, cacao, dried fruit, roasted nuts, cinnamon, dried chili, and subtle oak.

Palate: Rich agave, dark chocolate, cacao, dried fruit, pepper, cinnamon, warm spices, and gentle oak.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering cacao, dried chili, roasted spice, sweet agave, and soft oak.

Distillery Information

Reserva de la Familia is the ultra-premium tequila collection of the Cuervo family, with roots extending more than two centuries through Casa Cuervo. The tequila is produced at La Rojeña, using traditional methods including hand-selected blue agave, masonry-oven cooking, extended fermentation, and double distillation in copper pot stills. The brand has long emphasized small-batch production and carefully managed oak maturation. The Private Cask Collection expands this tradition through distinctive cask finishes, with the 2026 Mole Cask release bringing tequila and Mexico’s culinary mole tradition together in an experimental expression.
