This rare and highly collectible Karuizawa was produced at the now silent distillery in 1999 before being bottled from a single cask and released for the Tokyo Bar Show in 2016. As with most whiskies from the world-famous distillery, this was matured in a sherry cask and holds big powerful and fruity notes.

Nose: The aromas have alight fruit notes with malt and spice.
Palate: The taste almost is really just a short beginning that crescendos and transitions extremely smoothly into the finish.
Finish: Finish is long, spicy and smooth.
Distillery Information
Karuizawa distillery was a Japanese whisky distillery. It was located at Miyota, a town on the southern slopes of an active complex volcano, Mount Asama, in Kitasaku District, Nagano Prefecture, Japan. Established in 1955, the distillery began production in 1956.
