Kilchoman Loch Gorm 2026 is the annual limited-edition sherry-matured expression from Islay's Kilchoman Distillery, carrying an explicit 10-year age statement. The 2026 edition was matured in Oloroso sherry butts from Bodega José y Miguel Martín, with a combination of first-fill and refill casks providing both intense sherry character and balance. Rich dried fruits, candied orange, salted caramel and dark chocolate complement Kilchoman's signature 50 ppm peat smoke and citrus character. Bottled at 46% ABV, naturally coloured and non-chill filtered.

Nose: Dried red fruits, barbecued meats and toasted walnuts wrapped in rich, smoky peat.

Palate: Candied orange and tropical fruit with salted caramel and dried prunes, followed by cinnamon, nutmeg and integrated peat smoke.

Finish: Long and spicy, with toasted dark chocolate, liquorice, warming spices and balanced lingering peat smoke.

Distillery Information

Kilchoman Distillery was founded in 2005 by Anthony and Kathy Wills on Rockside Farm on Islay, becoming one of the island's first new distilleries in more than 125 years. The farm-based distillery follows a traditional approach that includes growing and malting a portion of its own barley, alongside carefully sourced malt. Kilchoman is known for heavily peated single malts that combine pronounced Islay smoke with bright citrus and maritime character. Loch Gorm takes its name from the dark, peat-coloured freshwater loch near the distillery and has become Kilchoman's signature annual Oloroso sherry-cask release. The 2026 edition was limited to approximately 18,000 bottles.
