Nose: Roasted sweet potato, steamed rice, earthy aromas, chestnut, subtle floral notes, herbs, and gentle sweetness.

Palate: Sweet potato richness, roasted grains, honey, chestnut, soft caramel, mineral notes, gentle spice, and a smooth, rounded texture.

Finish: Clean and warming, with lingering roasted sweet potato, earthy sweetness, soft koji character, and a delicate mineral freshness.

Isanishiki Shuzo is a traditional Kagoshima shochu producer dedicated to preserving the craftsmanship and regional identity of authentic sweet potato shochu. Kagoshima has been a center of imo shochu production for centuries, benefiting from locally grown sweet potatoes, ideal climate conditions, and generations of fermentation expertise. The use of black koji is a defining characteristic of many premium Kagoshima shochus, creating deeper aromas, balanced acidity, and a rich flavor profile.
