Kuroma Sweet Potato Shochu | 720ML

This sweet potato shochu is produced at the historic Iwagawa Jozo distillery in Japan's Kagoshima prefecture. Distilled using black koji and locally grown sweet potatoes, it's aged in traditional earthenware pots, condensing the sweet depth of the potatoes. Refined and fragrant, with notes of mellow citrus, orchard fruits, blossom, and elegant honey sweetness, try it neat, over ice, or with a splash of cold or warm water.

Nose: Roasted sweet potato, honey, tropical fruit, steamed rice, light earthiness, floral notes, and subtle herbal aromas.

Palate: Sweet potato, soft vanilla, roasted chestnut, honey, ripe banana, rice sweetness, gentle minerality, and a silky, rounded texture.

Finish: Clean and lingering, with notes of roasted sweet potato, delicate sweetness, soft earthiness, and a smooth, warming finish.

Kyoya Shuzo Co., Ltd. was founded in 1834 in Miyazaki Prefecture and is one of Japan's most respected traditional shochu producers.
