La Maison Du Rhum 2011 - Salvador Batch 4 | 700ML

The third batch of stunning rum from El Salvador to join the collection from La Maison Du Rhum. Column distilled in 2011, this one initially matured in bourbon casks, and was treated to a finish in former Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine casks before bottling in 2021. Plenty of tannic oak and rich vinous fruit notes to be found among the molasses, caramel, and spice in this one.

Nose: Sweet, caramel, vanilla notes, dried fruit, tobacco.

Palate: Soft, spicy, oak, cigars.

Finish: Long lasting, complex, dried fruit, nuts.

Distillery Information

La Maison du Rhum is a brand created in 2017 by Dugas, a French distributor well known to wine merchants as it distributes more than half of Martinique's rum brands in France, and very popular rums such as Don Papa and Diplomatico.In terms of presentation, the bottles are accompanied by a wooden case and coasters in the brand's colours, all in a retro colonial style. The date of distillation and the date of bottling, the nature of the casks used, the name of the distillery, the type of still: all this is scrupulously indicated on the label of each bottle, which shows that the designers of the brand have perfectly understood the requirements of today's spirits lovers.
