Laphroaig 12 Year Old is a bold and distinctly coastal Islay single malt, matured for 12 years in hand-selected American oak ex-bourbon barrels. Bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration or added colour, it offers a slightly more mature and layered interpretation of Laphroaig's famous smoky style. The whisky combines medicinal peat and maritime character with stewed green apple, heather honey and subtle pastry sweetness. Rich seaweed, campfire smoke and herbal notes give the palate depth, while vanilla, hazelnut and citrus add balance.

Nose: Sea salt and seaweed with stewed green apple, heather honey and a slight tang of rhubarb. Vanilla, crusty pastry, hazelnut and dried orange peel develop alongside hints of ginger, lemongrass and tarry peat smoke.

Palate: Carbolic soap threads through salt-crusted seaweed and smouldering campfires, unveiling a core of blackcurrant with hints of stone fruit, thyme, liquorice root and aniseed.

Finish: Sweet and powerful, with savoury notes leading to iodine and oily mackerel complexity.

Located on Islay's southern coast, the Laphroaig distillery is known for its pungent, heavily peated single malt whiskies.
