It was created by Archibald Lauder at his bar at 76 Sauchiehall Street, where he developed a whisky intended to suit the tastes of his customers and friends. The brand continues to celebrate Glasgow’s welcoming, sociable character, with the number 76 embossed into its distinctive bottle as a lasting reference to the address where the story began.
