This 19-year-old Linkwood single malt was distilled on 1 February 2007 and bottled in 2026 as part of DS Tayman’s Tequila Edition. Finished in tequila casks, it combines Linkwood’s elegant, fruit-forward Speyside character with a distinctive fresh agave influence. Bottled at cask strength, without chill filtration or added colouring, it delivers concentrated orchard-fruit sweetness alongside buttery pastry and caramelised fruit. The unusual cask finish adds another layer to the mature spirit while allowing its delicate fruity character to remain at the forefront.

Nose: Juicy green plums, ripe pears, and fresh orchard fruits, followed by Danish pastry, vanilla, and delicate buttery sweetness.

Finish: Lingering fruit sweetness, pastry cream, soft vanilla, and a delicate tequila-cask influence.

Distillery Information

Linkwood Distillery was founded by Peter Brown in Elgin, Speyside, in 1821, with production beginning in 1825. The distillery was substantially rebuilt and expanded in 1872 under William Brown, establishing much of the foundation for its modern operations. A second distillery was constructed alongside the original in 1971 to increase production capacity. Linkwood is renowned for its elegant Speyside single malt, characterised by floral aromas, fresh orchard fruits, delicate malt sweetness, and a refined texture. DS Tayman is an independent whisky bottler whose range explores the character of established Scotch whisky distilleries through carefully selected spirits and distinctive cask-maturation approaches.
