Detailed Description

Loch Lomond Waypoint 31 Year Old is a mature, peated Highland single malt inspired by the rugged trail between Inversnaid and Inverarnan along the eastern shores of Loch Lomond. Distilled using the distillery's distinctive straight-neck stills, the whisky matured for 31 years in three types of American oak ex-bourbon casks before receiving a 12-month finish in Tawny Port pipes. This extended maturation brings together dark forest fruits, honeyed sweetness, bittersweet chocolate, and polished cedarwood, complemented by a restrained thread of peat smoke. Bottled at 44.1% ABV, it offers a refined balance of fruit, oak, and gentle smoke, with natural colour and no chill filtration.

Loch Lomond Waypoint 31 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Blackberries and blackcurrants layered with honey, dried cherry, and polished oak.

Palate: Dark chocolate and fresh raspberries mingle with blackberry compote, cedarwood, and honeyed malt. Gentle peat smoke and mature oak add depth without overwhelming the fruit.

Finish: Long and complex, with dark fruits, cocoa, cedarwood, and soft, lingering woodsmoke.
