This single malt was distilled at Longmorn in 2012 and spent the next dozen years maturing in a single first-fill bourbon barrel. The Barrel was cracked open by indie bottler Signatory, releasing 201 bottles at a robust 57.8% ABV for its Cask Strength Collection, without added colour or chill filtration.

Nose: Very elegant and precise aromas.
Palate: On the palate it is very elegant, rich and full-bodied.
Finish: The finish is quite unique, rich and long lasting.

Longmorn has been available as a single malt since the launch of a 15-year-old in 1993, a bottling which sported a slightly fantastical label showing the distillery nestled in the midst of rugged peaks – it’s on the flatlands near Elgin.
