While visiting his island home of Madagascar we were captivated by the beautiful aroma and taste of local grown vanilla. It was then that we were inspired by the idea of creating a premium vanilla rum, which soon became our lifelong mission. With guidance from the Malagasy villagers we ventured deep upriver in bamboo rafts and discovered a hidden vanilla orchid forest full of the juiciest beans Madagascar had to offer.
