Nose: Vanilla fudge, honeycomb and baked pear, followed by toasted coconut and crème brûlée. Soft floral notes and polished oak add elegance and maturity.

Palate: Silky and creamy, with caramel, sweet cereals, vanilla cream and baked apple. Butterscotch, delicate almond and gentle oak spice add further richness and depth.

Finish: Long, smooth and refined, with lingering honey sweetness, creamy vanilla, toasted coconut and polished oak. Gentle warming spice remains as the flavours slowly fade.

Distillery Information

North British Distillery was founded in 1885 in Edinburgh by a group of prominent Scotch whisky figures, including Andrew Usher and William Sanderson, to challenge the dominance of the major grain whisky producers of the era. Production began in 1887, and the distillery grew into one of Scotland's most important grain whisky producers. Located in the Lowlands, North British primarily produces whisky for use in major blended Scotch brands, meaning official single grain releases remain relatively uncommon. Its spirit is particularly well suited to extended maturation, developing increasingly creamy, sweet and polished characteristics over many decades. The Fragrant Drops series, created by Keeble Cask Company, specialises in carefully selected mature Scotch whiskies, often presented with natural colour and without chill filtration.
