Guest House No.01 is the first release in North Uist Distillery’s Guest House Series, created from select casks sourced from distilleries across Scotland. A combination of sherry and bourbon casks gives the blend a balance of dried fruit, sweetness and oak, while a lightly peated character adds gentle smoke. Heather honey, fresh brioche and floral sweetness lead into stewed winter fruits and cinnamon spice. Bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration or added colour.

Nose: Heather honey, fresh brioche, soft vanilla, floral notes, dried fruit and a delicate suggestion of peat smoke.

Palate: Sweet and floral at first, developing into stewed winter fruits, caramel, baked apple and gentle cinnamon spice, with a soft smoky undertone.

Finish: Smooth and lingering, with fragrant peat smoke, warm spice, dried fruit and a subtle sweetness.

Distillery Information

North Uist Distillery is based at the historic Nunton Steadings on the Hebridean island of North Uist. The distillery is building its own island single malt while its spirit continues to mature, using 100% malted barley and an intentionally small-scale production approach. Its future whisky is designed around local provenance, including heritage Bere barley grown by Uist crofters and maturation on the island. The Guest House Series was created to share selected whiskies from other Scottish distilleries while North Uist’s own whisky matures.
