Old Forester President’s Choice 2026 is an exceptionally limited single-barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon selected from some of the distillery’s most exceptional mature barrels. The 2026 release consists of individual barrels aged between seven and nine years and bottled at their natural cask strength. Because each bottle comes from a single barrel, proof, barrel number and flavor profile can vary from bottle to bottle. The expression is known for a concentrated Old Forester character combining rich fruit, caramelized sweetness, spice and mature oak.

Nose: Rich caramel, stewed fruit and vanilla with charred oak, baking spice, tart berries and hints of cooked banana.

Palate: Full-bodied and powerful, with caramel, dark fruit and sweet BBQ notes alongside toasted oak, brown sugar and pronounced baking spice.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering dark fruit, caramel, oak spice and subtle charred sweetness.

Distillery Information

Old Forester was established in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1870 by George Garvin Brown and is one of the oldest continuously marketed bourbon brands in America. The brand remains part of Brown-Forman, the Brown family-owned spirits company. President’s Choice traces its modern history to 2018, when Old Forester revived the tradition of exceptionally selected single barrels associated with former president George Garvin Brown II's private selections from 1964. The modern expression is chosen from outstanding barrels by Old Forester's senior whiskey team and represents one of the brand's rarest offerings. The 2026 release continues that tradition with seven-to-nine-year-old bourbon bottled individually at barrel strength.
