Detailed Description

A six-year-old straight bourbon from Penelope’s Architects of Golf series, finished with American oak staves to add another layer of character to the whiskey. The lighter finishing approach brings together gentle vanilla, caramel, toasted oak and soft fruit with subtle baking spice. Smooth, balanced and approachable, it serves as the easygoing opening expression of the collection.

Nose: Gentle vanilla and caramel with light toasted oak, butterscotch, soft fruit and subtle baking spice.

Palate: Smooth and rounded, with caramel, vanilla and butterscotch followed by toasted oak, nutmeg and gentle baking spice. Soft fruit and a touch of dark chocolate add depth.

Finish: Smooth and easygoing, with soft fruit, vanilla, light oak and lingering baking spice.

Distillery Information

Penelope Bourbon was founded by Michael Paladini and Danny Polise and takes its name from Paladini’s daughter. The brand built its identity around blending multiple bourbon mash bills and developing distinctive finishing techniques. Penelope was acquired by Luxco in 2023, bringing the brand into the wider MGP Ingredients portfolio. The Architects of Golf collection continues Penelope’s experimental approach, using different American oak stave treatments to create distinct expressions from the same six-year-old bourbon foundation.
