Nose: Rich tropical fruit, ripe banana, dried fruit, molasses, vanilla, oak, spice, and powerful fermented-fruit notes varying by expression.

Palate: Intense tropical fruit, caramelized sugar, dark fruit, baking spice, toasted oak, molasses, and complex ester-driven character.

Finish: Long and powerful, with lingering tropical fruit, oak spice, dried fruit, warm caramel, and distinctive cask-strength intensity.

Distillery Information

Planteray Rum is produced by Maison Ferrand and was created in 1999 under the direction of Alexandre Gabriel, whose work has focused on exploring rum traditions across different producing regions. The Extreme Series represents the brand’s most selective single-cask releases, with individual barrels bottled at their natural strength rather than being reduced. The Legends of Rum collection continues this philosophy while placing particular emphasis on the people, knowledge, and traditions that shaped Planteray’s journey. The six rums in Extreme Series VI represent Haiti, Belize, Barbados, Fiji, Saint Lucia, and Jamaica.
