Proof and Wood The Stranger Rye 2007 is a limited edition rye whiskey from Proof and Wood Ventures. It is made from a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley and aged for two years in new, charred American oak barrels. The whiskey has a light amber color with aromas of sweet honey, vanilla, and oak. The palate is spicy and sweet, with notes of cinnamon, toffee, and dried fruit. The finish is long and smooth, with hints of leather and spice. The Stranger Rye 2007 is bottled at a proof of 53% ABV (106 proof).
