Delightfully Easy Drinker
"Nutty & casky upfront on the nose. Followed up with dried orange & lemon peel, sweet fruity apple & melon, vanilla bean and caramel, an on the far edges light hint of fresh cod liver oil due to the linseed which is evidently used due to the yellowish to light amber tint. The palate is oily and grain heavy. The dried peels cut through, but come off as a little bitter. Feathering off into a reminiscent ginger nut biscuit. The finish is long and tingling with spices of clove and ginger. Very light amount of vanilla or a cream come through, but are dominated by the spices. It finishes nice and dry, leaving you to desire another pouring. Overall, a very delightful and smooth drink for novices or long time whiskey fans alike. My only negative would have to be its high price tag for just the entry level bottle. That aside, an excellent Irish Whiskey."
