A unique collaboration between the prestigious Bodegas Lustau in Jerez, Spain and the Midleton Distillery in County Cork. Initially matured in traditional bourbon & sherry casks for a period of 9-12 years. It is then finished for one extra year in first fill sherry butts which have been seasoned with oloroso sherry from the prestigious Bodegas Lustau in Jerez, Spain.

Redbreast Lustau Edition Single Pot Still Tasting Notes

Nose: Aroma of stone fruit, prunes and dates accented with anise and toasted oak.

Palate: Sweet, fruity and creamy. Some classic pot still prickliness at the start and some touches of sappy oak, tart citrus, dried fruits and chocolate toffees.

Finish: Long with sweet fig and black pepper.

The present Midleton Distillery is an intriguing study in whiskey production, given its unique ability to distill a wide variety of distillate types, it is one of the most remarkable distilleries in the world.

Old Midleton Distillery stands on the banks of the Dungourney River in Midleton, East Cork.

Set on 15 green acres, the distillery is home to all of the world’s supply of Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey. Thankfully we are well supplied by nature’s forces.
