Distillery Information
Smooth Ambler is a distillery and bottler located on the edge of the Appalachian mountains in Maxwelton, West Virginia. It produces a range of different spirits focusing on Bourbon and Rye Whiskey. The leading whiskey of the Smooth Ambler portfolio is the Contradiction Bourbon, a blend of wheated bourbon produced in West Virginia and two rye bourbons from Tennessee and Indiana. Other notable whiskies include the Big Level Bourbon and the Old Scout Rye Single Barrel both produced in the West Virginia distillery. The company's Whitewater Vodka is triple-distilled from grain and mountain water, and carbon filtered. The Greenbrier Gin uses the vodka as the base spirit and is quadruple-distilled. In turn it forms the base of the Barrel Aged Gin, which spends three months in Bourbon barrels and gains a marked caramel character.
