It undergoes an 8–9 month aging process in oak barrels, similar to the method used for reposado tequila. This aging imparts a rich, complex flavor profile with notes of caramelized sugar, vanilla, cooked agave, and spiced pear, resulting in a smooth and balanced spirit.
