Matured in 80% bourbon, 10% sherry, and 10% red wine casks, it develops layers of tropical fruit, honeyed malt, citrus, vanilla, gentle smoke, and coastal salinity.

Nose: Tropical pineapple, mango, papaya, ripe melon, honey, sandalwood, damp earth, and gentle maritime peat.

Palate: Rich and oily with lemon meringue, custard, caramel, pineapple, mango, creamy vanilla, citrus, malt, and light spice.

Finish: Long and elegant, with toasted coconut, fresh basil, herbs, soft smoke, mineral notes, and lingering coastal salinity.

Distillery Information

Springbank Distillery was established in Campbeltown in 1828 and remains one of Scotland’s most traditional independent distilleries. The distillery maintains an unusually high level of in-house production, including malting its own barley, distillation, maturation, and bottling. Its distinctive lightly peated spirit is produced using a 2.5-times distillation process, creating the oily texture, maritime character, and complex fruit-driven profile associated with Springbank. The Vintage Series was introduced to showcase carefully selected parcels of older Springbank whisky, with the 1994 expression representing the second release in the series.
