Detailed Description

Stagg Barrel Proof Batch 26B is an eight-year-aged Kentucky straight bourbon bottled uncut and unfiltered to preserve its full-strength character. Produced using Buffalo Trace's traditional low-rye bourbon mash bill, it matures in new, charred American oak barrels, developing layers of dark fruit, caramelized sugar, and rich oak. Bottled at 125.2 proof, this batch balances concentrated sweetness with bold baking spices, chocolate, and a robust barrel-aged character. Its full-bodied texture and lingering warmth make it a powerful expression of classic Kentucky bourbon.

Stagg Barrel Proof Batch 26B Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Tasting Notes

Nose: Dark caramel, brown sugar, and ripe cherry mingle with molasses, cinnamon, and charred oak, accompanied by hints of vanilla and baking spice.

Palate: Rich caramel and dark chocolate lead into cherry, brown sugar, and toasted oak. Clove, cinnamon, and black pepper add warming intensity, while dark fruit and subtle smoky notes deepen the profile.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering cherry, dark chocolate, caramelized sugar, and seasoned oak. Clove and baking spice remain alongside a touch of molasses.
