Stagg Jr. Barrel Proof 132.1 Proof Batch #3 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Made with the same mash bill as the George T. Stagg, this batch is uncut, unfiltered and definitely not for the faint hearted. It comes in at a mouth-watering 132.1 proof and is comprised of barrels aged roughly for eight to nine years. The Buffalo Trace Distillery only releases two batches a year and it’s very rare to find these bottles on regular Liquor Shop shelves so secure yours today. Nose: Classic, big flavors of caramel and toffee candies. Brown sugar baked on an oak slab. Fruits of blackberries, dried cherries, cough syrup and Christmas cake. Pipe tobacco. Cinnamon. Dark chocolate with coffee. Great balance.

Palate: Rich, sweet, chocolate and brown sugar flavors mingle in perfect balance with the bold rye spiciness.

Finish: The boundless finish lingers with hints of cherries, cloves and smokiness.

Buffalo Trace Distillery is the oldest continually operating distillery in the United States and includes the rich legacies of master distillers such as E.H. Taylor, Jr, George T. Stagg, Albert B. Blanton, Orville Schupp and Elmer T. Lee. Today, the distillery is still family-owned, operating on the same 130 acres of land adjacent the Kentucky River as it has for over 200 years.
