He describes himself as having “a solid grounding in the science and art of fermenting, the fundamental process for creating distilled spirits, from 30 years of homebrewing award-winning beer and mead.”
Stark Spirits Peated Single Malt Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: Easy peat, not overpowering, flinty, burned matches, smoked salmon, accompanied by sweet caramel maltiness.
Palate: Steady arrival, solid peat that is intertwined with sweat vanilla cocoa bean.
Finish: Medium, leaves you with dry charcoal smoke and bitter almonds.

Stark Spirits Distillery is an artisan distillery in Pasadena, California, that produces a range of alcoholic beverages under the direction of Head Distiller Greg Stark. The micro-distillery is owned by husband and wife, Greg Stark and Karen Robinson-Stark. Stark Spirits is located just blocks from the Pasadena Rose Bowl. It is Pasadena's first micro-distillery, currently its only distillery, and one of two distilleries operating in Los Angeles County. Stark Spirits is a Certified Craft Distillery, certified by the American Distilling Institute. The Pasadena micro-distillery is known for producing hand crafted small batches of these spirits currently: whiskey, rum, gin, brandy.
